TONY IOMMI SIGNATURE – TI100

The date was February 13, 1970 and the album was Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath – the guitarist was Tony Iommi and the distorted diminished 5th sound was a Laney LA100BL.

Since this auspicious day Laney’s association with Tony has gone from strength to strength and in 2012 we are extremely proud to announce a new Tony Iommi Signature amp – The TI100.

COLLABORATION

The TI100 was born out of an exhaustive period of product development, hand in hand with Tony at every stage, assessing and refining Tony’s sonic needs.
The new TI100 amp represents a significant advance in Tony’s sonic identity whilst still retaining the aggressive tone that Tony is renowned for.

The TI100 delivers 100 Watts RMS of full on metal guitar tone in a twin channel format. Each of the TI100’s channels features a footswitchable Pre Boost which sits right at the front of the pre amp and functions in the same way as your favourite boost pedal on your pedal board works – it does not increase the gain but boosts the signal hitting the first pre amp tube.

TONY IOMMI SIGNATURE – TI15-112

The TI15-112 takes all the raw power and tone of the TI100’s high gain channel and crams it into a compact single channel all tube amp.

Utilizing Laney’s unique dual wattage input option means you can push the EL84 output section hard and get 15 watts RMS of full on tone or plug into the “less than 1 watt” and get exactly that – your same great tone but at less than 1 watt.

TONY IOMMI SIGNATURE CABINET – TI412S

Tony was keen to make sure that the drivers in the TS412S delivered the tone that he heard in his head and that his new signature amplifier is capable of producing.

So after exhaustive testing the conclusion was reached that Celestion G12H (75) proved to be the ideal driver to partner the new TI100. The G12H 75Hz has its low end raised a little in frequency giving punchier lows and a more forward midrange. Which makes it more suited to heavy overdriven sounds in on-stage environments.
