Dave Hunter / Circles

Circles are a 5 piece progressive metal band from Melbourne, Australia.
An amalgamation of seasoned players all having a strong passion for music and pushing the boundaries of the conventional metal sound.

In 2010, Circles released the "Prelude" demo, which instantly caught the ears of fans and industry reps worldwide. The song "The Frontline" had fans of the genre talking, with its heavy grooves, melodic vocals and synth undertones. This was a refreshing break in the trend of progressive metal.
Only in their first year as a band, Circles had received critical acclaim from fans in Australia and abroad, which ultimately led to them signing up with Basick Records (UK).

The band released "The Compass" E.P through Basick Records in mid-2011, and have been gaining solid momentum ever since.
After some extensive touring and a lot of blood sweat and tears, Circles completed work on their debut album, INFINITAS, which was released in stores worldwide in October 2013.

2013 saw the band touring Europe and UK, joining some of the biggest names in progressive metal including The Dillinger Escape Plan, Meshuggah, The Ocean and Textures just to name a few.

The band followed this with some extensive touring in their home country of Australia, while also beginning work on new material.
